About Bernedoodles

The Bernedoodle was first introduced as a designer breed in 2003, and has since become very popular as beloved family dogs and companions.  It is a cross between the Bernese Mountain Dog and a poodle.  They are a very affectionate and playful breed, known for their excellent temperaments and charming personalities. They are highly intelligent and trainable, as well as social with children, adults, and other dogs.  In addition to all these great attributes, their coats are nearly hypoallergenic and low shedding, due to their poodle parent.  They are an active breed, requiring regular exercise, but also enjoy cuddles on the couch.   The standard Bernedoodle has a lifespan of 12-18 years, and usually weighs between 60-90lbs.
